Below are five questions. You have to answer them instantly. You can't take your time, answer all of them immediately, and let’s find just how clever you really are..... Okay?

You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you then in?
Second Question, but don't take as much time as you took for the first question.
If in the race you overtake the last person, then you are in what position...?,
Third Question: some tricky arithmetic! This must be done in your head. Do not use paper and pencil or a calculator.
Take 1000 and add 40.
Now add another 1000, and then add 30.
Add another 1000, then add 20.
Now add another 1000, and finally add 10.

Mary's father has five daughters: 1.Nana, 2.Nene, 3.Nini, 4.Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?
Fifth Question:
A dumb person goes into a shop and wants to buy a toothbrush. By miming the action of brushing his teeth he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is made.
Next, a blind man comes into the shop and wants to buy a pair of dark sunglasses. How would he indicate what he wanted?

First answer - If you answered that you are first, then you’re wrong! If you overtook the second person and took their place, then you’d be second!
Second answer - If you answered that you are second to last, then you’re wrong – again! You can’t overtake the last person, as there couldn’t be anyone, including even you, behind them?
Third answer - Did you get 5000? The correct answer is 4100, and if you don’t believe it, try using a calculator!
Fourth answer - Did you Answer Nunu? Of course it isn't, her name is Mary as it says in the question!
Fifth answer - Quite simply, he’d just open his mouth, and ask for what he wanted.
How well did you do? Don’t worry if you got most of them wrong – you probably aren’t really suffering from dementia, you’re just not reading the questions properly!
